Comprehensive Management Plan
The bed of Utah Lake is sovereign land administered by the Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands. A coalition of cities, towns and state agencies with authority in and around the lake is forging an interlocal agreement that will address and facilitate planning and development, and provide ongoing recommendations towards the implementation of master plans, comprehensive plans and provide for the management of the shoreline. This web page will be updated as progress towards the development of the Utah Lake Management Commission unfolds.
The goal of the CMP is to optimize the benefit from ecosystem-based, multiple-use management of resources held in the public trust by coordinating the application of sound management principles.
A Statement of Current Conditions and Trends (Statement) is available for your review. The Statement consists of two documents and a series of maps that present summary information on sovereign land management, and the lake and its resources. Please note the Resource Document is intended as a summary document only. For more information on the subjects covered in this document, please check the references section.
